Robert W. DeLong Sr. , 83, of Oil City, PA., passed away Thursday April 10, 2025 at his home following an extended illness.
Born June 24, 1941 in Titusville, PA., he was the son of George A. DeLong and Thelma J. Knox DeLong Antill.
Robert served in the United States Navy from July 7, 1959 until July 24 of 1963.
He was married on July 12, 1965 to the former Norma J. Miller and she preceded him in death on Dec. 22, 2020.
Robert had worked many years as a heavy equipment operator for Hard’s Construction and later worked for McKissick Trucking.
He was an avid Cleveland Sports fan and also liked the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Robert was a long time member of Oil City Eagles Aerie 283 , and had many good friends and times while a member there.
He also was a member of the VFW, Pulaski, PNA and the Moose Club.
He is survived by three children

Devyn Fleeger, Mia Foster, Mallorie Laird, Natalie Laird, Sofie George, Mackenzie Laird, Wesson Fleeger, Logan Laird, Lilly George and Waylon Fleeger
He is also survived by a brother David Antill and his wife Barb of Titusville
And an aunt Mildred Womer (Poogie) of Mountain Top, PA.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by brothers Bill and John Antill and son in law Roy George
The Reinsel Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements
Memorials may be made to a charity of ones choice.
Interment will be in Lamey Cemetery at a later date.
