Our father, Robert “Bob” Fritz left us unexpectedly to be with our mother on August 15, 2024.
Born March 27, 1934 in Oil City, PA., he was the son of the late Archie and Esther Fritz and celebrated his 90th birthday this year.
He was married Sept. 10, 1952 to Claribel Hart, who preceded him in death.
In high school, he had the school record for the pole vault in track and later on was seen in many Oil City parades doing flips and summersaults on a trampoline that was sitting on top of a flatbed truck for the YMCA.
He loved all sports, especially the Steelers and the Pirates.
He and Claribel spent many years boating at Kinzua Dam and loved their houseboat.
He was employed by Quaker State for many years, retiring in 1995 when the company left the area.
Bob is survived by his six children and their spouses:
Daniel Fritz of Titusville
Cindy Hargenrader ( John) of Oil City
Sue O’Neil (Mark) of Seneca
Timothy Fritz (Cookie) of Venus
Lynn McClelland (Ken) of Richmond, OH.
Scott Fritz (Sue) of Seneca
Also surviving are nine grandchildren:
Jennifer Ochocki, Matthew Fritz, Sarah Latchaw, Emma Correa, Stacy Earp, Erica DeArment, Rob Rinker, Jessica Dudzic and Kelly Knoch; as well as 15 Great-Grandchildren
He is also survived by a sister, Marilyn Davis of Florida and several nieces and nephews
A Funeral Service will be held at Christ Lutheran Church in Oil City where he was an active member on Tuesday August 20, at 11:00A.M.
Friends will be received at 10:00 A.M. until the service at 11:00 A.m. in the Church.
The “Fritz Kids” would like to thank Uncle Bob (Robin) and Aunt Joanne Hart for their love and caring kindness to our parents, Uncle Dave Hart for his inspiration, and neighbors Tommy and Bob for keeping an eye on our dad, especially when he was mowing or on a ladder trimming his shrubs.
The Reinsel Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
