Robert J. Davis

Robert J. Davis, 74, of Oil City, PA., passed away Monday June 8, 2026 at his home.

            Born July 27, 1951 in Oil City, PA., he was the son of the late Robert Paul Davis and Edna Mae Zillifro Davis.

Bob was a 1971 graduate of Oil City High School.

He was a veteran of the U.S  Army serving  during the Vietnam War.

He was married to the former Janice Ginkel on Sept. 21, 1973 and she preceded him in death on Dec. 20, 2013.

Bob later married the former Linda M. Shefchunas on April 10, 2017, they had went to school together and knew each other and met again after both their spouses had passed away.

Bob was a truckdriver through most of his career, working for Klapec Trucking.

He was a member and past Senior Vice at the Oil City VFW.

He had also belonged to the Moose, PNA, and the Eagles.

Bob enjoyed golfing and was a member of the Sleepy Hollow Senior League.

He had coached many years for the Oil City Junior Baseball Association.

He was active with Toys for Tots at the VFW, and had been a member of the Cornplanter Volunteer Fire Dept.

He enjoyed traveling and taking cruises.

In addition to his wife of Oil City, He is survived by two children

Brad Davis and his wife Jennifer of Oil City

Beth Davis Sisco and her husband Jeremy of AL.

Three step sons

Larry Winger and his wife Kasey of Diamond

Chad Winger and his wife Lisa of Cherrytree

David Winger and his wife Lindsey of Oil City

Grandchildren

Bryce and Maddison Davis

Rachel League and her husband Jordan

Rebekah Strawbridge and her husband Isaac and Morgan Williams

Step grandchildren

Larry Winger III and Kyle Winger

3 step grandchildren

Elizabeth, Hannah and Emma Sisco

3 great grandchildren

Riverlyn, Hazeleigh and Kolter League

And one step great granddaughter

Olivianna Winger

He is also survived by one brother

Dan Davis and his wife Kathy of Oil City

And several nieces and nephews

He was preceded in death by siblings Connie Hewitt Davis(Herb),

Edna Eileen Hewitt Downs(William) and Donald Leroy Hewitt

Friends will be received from 5P.M.-7P.,M. Wednesday June 10, in the Reinsel Funeral Home.

Services will be held at 7P,M. in the Funeral Home.

Interment will be in Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens
