Obituary

Rod E. Urey, 57, of Cooperstown, died as a result of a motorcycle accident in Plum Twp. , On July 29, 2023.

Born June 20, 1966 in Franklin, PA., he was the son of Larry Urey and Joyce Griffin Carey.

Rod graduated from Maplewood High School.

He was employed as a diesel mechanic with Penndot.

Rod was married to the former Sarah E. Wild and she survives.

Rod enjoyed riding his motorcycle, and working on “Rat Rods”

He could always be found in his garage working and loved spending time with family and friends.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his mother

Joyce Carey of Cooperstown

His father

Larry Urey of Costa Mesa, CA.

Two children

Keith Urey and his fiance Ellen of Titusville

and grandchildren

Wyatt, Tyson Brody and Luca

Kevin Urey and his son Easton of Cooperstown

two step daughters

 NaTanyaa Collins

Kaitlynne Wild

And her children Jayce, Adalynne, Kayde and Camryn

And a step son

Tyler Baughey

He was preceded in death by his step father

William Carey

There will be no viewing or visitation.
