Sally L. Lockhart, 87, of Oil City, PA., passed away peacefully Monday Nov. 18, 2024 at UPMC-Northwest.
Born May 22, 1937 in Olean, NY., she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Omah Perkins Jones.
Sally was a graduate of Oil City High School, class of 1955.
She married the love of her life Clarence E. “Ned’ Lockhart Jr. on May 11, 1957 in the Trinity United Methodist Church in Oil City, and he survives.
Sally was a longtime member of the Oil City First Presbyterian Church, where she wore many hats. She was education director and choir director there for many years, preschool teacher, a deacon, elder, trustee and member of the choir and bell choir.
Into her 60s she decided to enter the seminary and became a Presbyterian Lay Minister, which allowed her to administrate marriages, funerals and preach within the Lake Erie Presbytery.
She was an Administrative secretary for Venango Technology Center in Oil City for over 20 years. She enjoyed reading, knitting and helping others.
She was a volunteer for CASA, and former member of the Belles Lettres Club.

Stephen Lockhart and his wife Melissa of Mt. Holly Springs, PA.,
A son in law, Tim Mohnkern of Wayzata, MN

She is also survived by two sisters
Judy Karg and her husband Tom of Oil City
Linda Honey of Euless, TX
Niece Robin Wethli, and Nephews Scott Karg, Shawn Karg, and Christopher Karg
She was preceded in death by a daughter Karen Mohnkern
Her son Michael “Fuzz” Lockhart
And grandson James Lockhart
Friends will be received Friday Nov. 22 from 10:00A.M.-11:00 A.M. in the gathering space at First Presbyterian Church, Oil City.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. at the church with Pastor Josh Botts, presiding.
Interment will be in Heckathorn Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, Oil City.
