Sally Rapp Obituary

Sally Ann Rapp (Botts), 81, of Oil City, PA., and formerly of Shippenville for 48 years, left tis world peacefully, following an extended illness, on July 21, 2026, to rest in the arms of her Lord and SAVIOR, Jesus Christ.

Born on Feb. 23, 1945 in Oil City, she was the daughter of the late Ruth Imelda Croup and Joseph Thomas Botts.

Sally was the middle child of three kids.

She worked for many years as a housekeeper for various individuals and families in the Shippenville, Knox and Clarion areas.

For years, she was also a member of the Manor United Methodist Church in Shippenville.

Sally spent her life creating a warm and welcoming home, known for her exceptional decorating skills, her crocheting, and her talent for making beautiful biblical quilts, among so many other gifts.

She was preceded  in death by her parents, as well as her eldest brother, John E. Dilley.

She is survived by her children, including Tammy Lynn McCleary AND David Andrew Hartzell, who were caregivers through her extended illness, as well as her younger brother, Joseph E. Botts and many niece and nephews, and extended family.

In accordance with her wishes, she will be cremated.

Interment will be at a later date.

Her children wish to offer special thanks to the staff at Venango VNA Hospice and the Collins House. So many there were so great with providing friendship, care, comfort and compassion during her  final months and hours of life. They are wonderful people.

They would also like to thank their special friend and neighbor Faye, for help and support.
