Sally Jane (Jarzenske) Schilk

         Sally Jane Schilk, 70, of Oil City passed away on Sunday July 5, 2026 at her home.

Born January 31,1956, she was the daughter of the late Arthur A. and Violet Ruth (Snow) Jarzenske.

On September 23,2004 she married Ronald "Rusty" Schilk Jr. in the Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee and he survives.

Sally had a life-long love of horses since having her first horse as a young girl.  She then shared that love with husband Rusty, which

they then enjoyed together at their small horse farm.

She was a graduate of Cranberry High School class of "73".

Sally was a server at Perkins then King's Family Restaurants for over 39 years.  While there, she developed life-long friendships with

customers and co-workers .

Sally's radiant smile and cheerful laughter captivated and lifted the spirits of those around her.

A woman of strong Christian faith in her walk with the Lord, Sally enjoyed reading the scriptures at her very "special place" in the

woods.  Sally cared very much for the salvation of those she loved.  There is no doubt her lovely smile we all knew and loved, is now

beaming with joy in heaven.

        She loved decorating for Christmas in her home and enjoyed the flowers she planted outdoors along with adornments she placed 

along her woodland trails.

 In addition to her husband, she is survived by son Braden Horne of Seneca, Grandson Logan Kindle of Virginia, and son Ryan Horne of 

Kennerdell.

She is also survived by brothers Arthur "Tim" and wife Patricia Jarzenske of Franklin,  Ron and wife Maria of Austin, Texas and Bernie

Jarzenske of Franklin. 

Mother-in-law Barbara Schilk of Franklin and special sister-in-law Olga Schilk of Oil City who has become her closest friend.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by father-in-law Ronald Schilk and brother-in-law Kevin Schilk.

At Sally's request funeral arrangements will be done privately.

A celebration of Sally's life will be held at a later date.   Memorial donations in Sally's name can be made to the charity of one's choice.
