Sandra L. ( Guyton) Goreczny, 87 of Rouseville, PA. passed away Saturday Dec. 27, 2025 after a period of declining health.
Born in Oil City, PA., on April 1, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Richard J. & June A. Bannon Guyton.
Sandra was a 1956 graduate of Oil City High School.
On May 24, 1957, she married John J. Goreczny at St. Columbkille in Stoneboro, and he preceded her in death on Sept. 17, 2020. They had celebrated 63 years of marriage.
Like her husband, Sandra was a devout Catholic and longtime member of St. Venantius Church. She was a lector, and a member of the Wednesday prayer group well into her eighties.
Additionally, she was part of a prayer chain for decades. Sandy taught CCD classes for many years, passing on the Catholic faith to the next generations.
The Late Rev. Blake LaMounte Sayers referred to John and Sandy as pillars of the Catholic community during his time assigned at Assumption B.V.M. Church.
Sandy enjoyed watching EWTN, attending mass, reading and talking to her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by five children and their spouses

She is also survived by one sister

Judy Guyton of Oil City and long time friend and neighbor Adam Nelson.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son Mark Goreczny, brothers James and Richard Guyton and many brothers and sisters in law.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Katie Rex and her staff, as well as Asera Care Hospice.
Friends will be received from 4-8 P.M. Tuesday in the Reinsel Funeral Home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:OO. A.M. Wednesday in St. Venantius Church, Rouseville.
Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
