Scott Lee Wood

Scott Lee “Scoot” Wood, 55, of Oil City, PA., passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday July 17, 2023.

Born March 4, 1968 in Oil City, PA., he was the son of Dorothy Hogue Wood and the late Gary Wood Sr.

Scott graduated from Oil City High School and completed the Venango Technology Institute, earning a certificate in machining.

He was employed for many years at Precision Tool & Die as a machinist as well as Hards Welding.

Scott enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, and especially enjoyed working on and painting model cars with his grandsons.

He was known to be a good mechanic and carpenter, and was always willing to lend a helping hand.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his daughters

Nicole Wood and her children, Karson, Kruz and Kyzer Trapano

He is also survived by two brothers Gary Wood Jr. and Ron Wood and by several half brothers and sisters.

Friends and family will be received on Saturday July 29 from 2:00P.M.-3:00P.M. in the Reinsel Funeral Home.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00P.M. in the funeral home.

A dinner will follow at the Oil City VFW.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Reinsel Funeral Home, 116 Bissell Ave. Oil City, PA. 16301 to help the family defray funeral expenses.
