Shirley E. (Shorts) Ross

Shirley E. Ross, 81, of Seneca, PA., passed away Wednesday May 20, 2026 at Penn Highland Hospital in Dubois.

            Born July 8, 1944 in Franklin, PA., she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Ethel Shreffler  Shorts.

Shirley was a graduate of Franklin High School.

She was married on July 3, 1964 to Gary L. Ross and he preceded her in death on Nov. 11, 1999.

A homemaker, Shirley enjoyed crocheting.

She enjoyed watching movies and spending time with the great grandchildren.

Shirley loved dancing and camping with family in Knox and was involved with 4H when her kids were younger.

She also enjoyed wintering in Arizona with her niece Cricket.

Shirley was faithful and loved her Lord Jesus.

She is survived by her four children

Gary Ross and his wife Tina of Cochranton

Laura Toscano and her husband Stephen of Seneca

Terresa Keech of Franklin

Sherri Lenhart and her husband Dave of Franklin

11 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren also survive.

Several Nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings Gene Shorts

, Sam Shorts, Helen Jordan and Nancy Young.

There will be no viewing or visitation.

The Reinsel Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
