T. Robert "Bob" Mabry, 92, of Oil City passed away on Saturday September 28th 2024, at his residence.
Bob was born to the late Robert W. and M. Lucille Ridenour Mabry on February 29th, 1932, making him a leap year baby.
Mr. Mabry was an Air Force Veteran who volunteered for the Korean War and became a Fighter Pilot as well as managing administrative programs in aircraft maintenance.
After his time serving in the war, Bob attended Southern Illinois University and received his Bachelor in Speech and Hearing Pathology, along with his Master in Counseling.
Bob most recently worked as the director of Venango County Counseling Center beginning his time working there in 1981 until his retirement. Mr. Mabry also worked for the Tennessee Department of Mental Health in Nashville holding the position of Program Coordinator, as well as the Jackson Mental Health Center in Mississippi, holding the position of executive director. Bob worked for many years as a counselor and psychologist. He was passionate about his career and helped many during his time working.
Bob loved St. Louis baseball, Steelers football, good food, and company.
Bob is survived by his many friends.
Preceding Bob in death are his parents Robert and Lucille.
Per Bob's wishes there will be no visitation or funeral.
Interment will be in Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield, Illinois.
