Surrounded by her family, Tammy Champion, age 64, of Titusville, passed away on June 28, 2024 at UPMC Hamot in Erie after a sudden diagnosis of lymphoma.
Born on December 21, 1959. Tammy was the beloved wife of Steven Champion. She graduated from Arlington High School in 1978 and went on to earn her associate's degree from The Culinary Institute of America in 1984.
Tammy cherished her family and dedicated her life to nurturing her five children: Sarah Ritter, Caleb Champion, Hannah Lewis, Faith Shehade, and Grace Champion. She adored her role as grandmother to Ari, Brett, Heidi, and Beatrix, a role that undoubtedly brought her the greatest pride. Tammy was preceded in death by her father, Donald Hanson, and is survived by her mother, Sandra Hanson, and her brother, Donald Hanson.
Tammy found joy in many simple pleasures. She loved tending to her garden, reading on her porch, and doting on her pets. Tammy had a beautiful voice and a deep love for music which always filled her home. She was an active member of Elevation Church.
She is recognized by her community as one of the first advocates for the Ladies' Rockets Soccer team, providing opportunities for her daughters and many others. She was also instrumental in developing and directing Titusville's most beloved Christmas event, The Live Nativity at Grace Fellowship Church.
A memorial service to celebrate Tammy's life will be held on July 21, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Grace Fellowship Church in Titusville. In lieu of flowers, please consider sending a donation in her name to Benson Memorial Library or Crawford County Humane Society. Members of A.A. may also consider making a donation to A.A.
