Thomas Goodman Obituary

Thomas (Growler) Goodman, 76, of Oil City, PA., passed away unexpectedly but peacefully on March 27, 2026 after a short illness.

            Born in Oil City, PA., on June 19, 1949, he was the son of the late Cleon (Clem) Goodman Jr. and Eugenie(Genie) Powell Goodman Reeves and stepson to Kenneth P. “Mo” Reeves.

Tom was a long- time member of St. Stephen Church in Oil City.

He was a graduate of Oil City Senior High School, class of 1968.

After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Air Force.

As a teen he worked with his brother at P & G Car wash, hand washing and drying vehicles, after his discharge from the military he worked at Rollie’s Pizza, Andres Bakery and retired from Electralloy after 38 years of employment.

Tom enjoyed going to yearly get togethers for retired Electralloy employees, and union dinners where he enjoyed the company and visits with old co workers.

He loved listening to music, playing board games, cards, computer gaming and cooking.

He was always ready to spend time with family and friends sharing good food, old stories and a few laughs.

Tom leaves behind his daughter Heather Kofalt and her fiancé Brian Fenstermaker and his grandchildren Sean Hartle(Allison Smith), Breanne Karenbauer and her husband Steven

Gage Johnson and five great grandchildren.

He is also survived by his brother Timothy J. Goodman (Jan) of Portland, OR.

And his sister Kathy McLain and her husband Carl of Oil City.

His nephew and godson Shane McLain of Oil City, nephew Col. Troy McLain, USAF and his wife Heather and their children Lucas, Isaac, Eli and Harper of Yorktown, VA.

And his niece and goddaughter Laura Hutchinson and her husband Zack, and their children Mya and Axel of Oil City.

He is also survived by numerous cousins.

Being born 11 ½ months apart, Tom, and Tim had a two -week period each year where they shared the same age.

In accordance with Tom’s wishes, there will be  a private burial with Military Honors at Calvary Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
