William Harry Best, 92, of Oil City, PA., passed away Tuesday Dec. 9, 2025 at Sugar Creek Care Center in Franklin.
Born Oct. 12, 1933 in Reno, PA., he was the son of the late Charles F. & Mabel O. Lilly Best.
Mr. Best entered the U.S. Air Force on April 14, 1953 and was Honorably discharged on April 13, 1957 with the rank of SGT.
He was married on August 6, 1960 to the former Saundra D. “Sis” Mooney and she survives.
He was employed as a product designer and had worked for Worthington and Eaton Corporation, before retiring. After his retirement he ran a landscaping business in Strongsville, OH.
He was of the Methodist Faith.

And by many nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by two brothers James Best and Donald Best and his wife Nancy and by three sisters Edna Ray and her husband Cecil, Alice Blair and her husband Dick and Mary Ann Mitcham and her husband Donald
And by sister in law Barbara Gariepy and brother-in-law Walter Robert Mooney
Friends will be received from 9:30 A.M.-11:00 A.M. Thursday in the Reinsel Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor David McVay, Presiding.
Military Honors will be accorded by the V.E.T.S. Honor Guard
Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
