Zofie (Ros) Michalik

Zofie Michalik, 95, of Oil City, PA., passed away Friday Jan. 2, 2026 at Oakwood Heights in Oil City, PA.

            Born August 5, 1930 in Lublica, Poland, she was the daughter of the late Stanislaw and Stanislawa Ochalek Ros

Zofie attended schools in Poland.

She was married to Stanislaw Michalik and he preceded her in death in 1969.

Zofie came to the United States to be with her daughter in 1982.

She had worked as a housekeeper for server local families.

Zofie was a talented seamstress.

She was a member of the Assumption B.V.M. Church, where she sang in the church choir.

Zofie also enjoyed going to the senior center in Cranberry and enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by three children

Irene Olson and her companion Richard McDevitt of Oil City

Kazimierz Michalik of Poland

Gene Michalik and his wife Kris of Long Island, NY.

4 grandchildren

Michael Wisniewski and his wife Hillary of Oil City

Gene Michalik and Karl Michalik

Alksandra Michalik

And 2 great grandchildren

Freya and Szymon

There will be no viewing or visitation.

Zofie will be buried in Poland with her husband.

A memorial service will be held at  later date.

The Reinsel Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
