Embert H. DeLong

Embert H. DeLong, 76, of 35 Stewart Rd. Oil City,(Henry's Bend) died Tuesday Sept. 12, 2017 at Select Specialty Hospital in Pittsburgh after an extended illness.

Born Oct. 7, 1940 in Franklin, PA., he was the son of the late Embert C. DeLong & Virginia “Dottie” Bartholamew DeLong.

Embert was a graduate of Franklin High School and graduated from Grove City College with a degree in Chemical Engineering.

He started his working career with Kendall Oil Co. in Bradford, PA. , and in 1978 they moved to Oil City , where he was employed at Quaker State Oil Co. He retired as Vice President of Research and Development in Seneca, PA.

Mr. DeLong was married on Oct. 12, 1958 to the former Carol L. Beach and she survives.

He enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing and photography.

Mr DeLong was a member of the Oil City Izaak Walton and a former member of the Bradford Lions Club.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son

Andrew C. DeLong

a brother Gilbert C. DeLong and a sister Reva R. Murray

and his father-in-law Chester B. Beach.

Friends will be received from 12 noon- 2:00 P.M. Saturday in the Reinsel Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. in the Funeral Home with Rev. Donald Rudge, Pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church, Presiding.

Interment will be in Graham Cemetery.
