Dear Carol,
I'm so sorry to hear of Emmie's passing.  I've had, essentially, no contact with either of you since we graduated high school, but you two were always a couple I was fond of.  I didn't realize until I read the obituary that you were married on my 18th birthday!  Almost 59 years married is pretty remarkable these days.  You have been blessed.  David and I will celebrate 53 years this coming January, God willing.

You were both very popular in our high school class, and had many friends. May you and your family find comfort in pleasant memories, and in the knowledge that Embert will be remembered fondly by so many people.

Condolences and best wishes from your classmate,
Lynda (Shawgo) Trutt

THE COLOR OF MEMORIES TABLE ARRANGEMENT was sent by Caylee and Pierce Campbell .

To my Grampy Em, I will always remember and respect your intelligence, wit, sense of humor, work-ethic, perseverance, and compassion. You have impacted who I am today and continue to do so in innumerable ways. You taught me how to love and respect nature, how to lighten a room with a story, how to enjoy the little things in life, how to take care of others, how to get up from a heavy fall, how to work with never-ending toughness and tenacity, and how to live with unassuming joy. I thank you for these lessons over the years and pray that I can continue teaching them to those that follow me. I am a lucky girl to have had a grandpa like you - who despite being on the other side of the country- made me feel so loved and so connected. I will always see you... sitting on the rock teaching me how to hunt; with Sassy on your lap, letting her drink your coffee; with a bandana around your head as you mowed the lawn and worked on infinite projects at the Camp; sitting around the table playing card-games; eating your weird combinations of food; watching from the front rows at our wedding; smiling as you told stories from your childhood; building me a barn for my toy horses; helping me feed the chipmunks in the shop under the cottage; and so many other memories. I hope you are celebrated today and always for the authentic person that you were. We love and cherish you always. Love Caylee and Pierce Campbell
